Ancaster Soccer Club would like to extend
a thank you to all the 2006 coaches.
This year would not have been possible without the dedication
of many volunteers and sponsors, and especially those who coach.
The club’s ability to accept players is
based upon the number of volunteer coaches and assistant coaches
that it can attract. The time commitment amounts to only a couple
hours per week: one game and one practice to be determined by
the coach.
The club provides each coach with a House League Coaches Handbook
with the expectation that you will use it in conjunction with
the Bite Size Coaching and the full
complement of coaching resources provided by the club. Coaching
clinics are offered by the club to assist those who coach. Ancaster
Youth Soccer offers Coaching Certification programs, which are
available for those individuals looking to improve their coaching
skills. ASC also offer coaches discounts, which are allocated
at the end of the season.
Support the community and the kids of Ancaster
by becoming a soccer mentor. Individuals who are interested
in coaching can contact the Ancaster Soccer Club for more
information.

to Coaches Corner and CONGRATULATIONS! If you are reading this
welcome letter, you have probably signed up to coach a soccer
team with the Ancaster Soccer Club (ASC). First, we thank
you for your willingness to help out, and we hope that you enjoy
the experience of coaching as much as the kids enjoy playing.
We offer Coaches Corner to you with the expectation that you
will use it in conjunction with the Coaches Handbook, Byte Size
Coaching and the full complement of coaching resources provided
by the club. We hope that together these resources will give you
the confidence to be the BEST - for your child, your team, and
the sport of soccer.
