You are encouraged to communicate with club volunteers including
other coaches, convenors and board members by email so that they
are able to respond to you at a time that works within their schedules.
Also, allow them sufficient time to get back to you. Remember
that they have responsibilities that go well beyond ASC, including
their jobs, families, and their children’s other activities
as well as soccer.

League Conveners
The League Convener’s are a very important part of the
club providing the primary link between the House League Coaches,
the Directors of Mini and Youth and the club itself.
The convener’s responsibilities include:
- Distributing Newsletters, Photos and other club communication
to coaches when made available from the club.
- Receiving and documenting scores from both coaches, passing
on summarized weekly results to the Director of Mini, Director
of Youth and the Club Administrator.
- Assisting coaches, players and parents at “Photo Day”
and “Soccerfest”.
- A list of League Convener’s is also available in the
House League Section of the club’s website.
Board of Directors
The primary Board of Director contacts for House League coaches,
conveners, players and parents are the Director of Mini and the
Director of Youth. The Director of Mini is responsible for the
Under 4 to Under 10 and the Director of Youth is responsible for
the Under 12 to Under 18 House League Divisions.
In addition to providing support during the season, the Directors
of Mini and Youth responsibilities also include:
- Drafting and coordinating balanced teams.
- Assigning and organizing practice schedules based on field
availability and permits with the Director of Fields.
- Coordinating and hosting the annual coaches meeting.
- Coordinating with the Director of Equipment the distribution
of equipment.
- Notifying the Directors of Fields and Officiating regarding
the rescheduling of games due to weather as well as the notification
of referee no-shows.
The Directors of Mini and Youth for 2006 are;
Director of Mini - Paul Buchanan is new to the
Board of Directors. He is responsible for the Under 4 to U10 Mini
House League divisions. He is an OSA Level 3 coach and has been
coaching and volunteering with the club since 2000 including coaching
the U12 Girls (1994) Rep team. He has three daughters that play
in the Select or Rep programs. Paul can be contacted via email

Director of Youth - This is Lori’s second
year on the board. Lori is responsible for the U12 to U18 Youth
House League divisions. She is looking forward to another successful
season. She has played at soccer at various levels and has been
coaching her two daughters in House League for the past five years.

Club Administrator - One of the key people
behind the scenes is our Club Administrator, Rose Swire. Rose
is available to answer any of your inquiries especially those
related to general administration including player, coach and
referee registration details and club rules and regulations. Rose
can be reached via telephone @ (905) 304-1491 or email her
or drop by the soccer office, which is open Monday to Friday from
9am to 5pm. The office is located at 88 Wilson St W (at Todd St)
above Schillings Gift Store.
